Author Guidelines

Seluruh naskah harus memenuhi persyaratan berikut.

  • Naskah ini memenuhi persyaratan yang disebutkan dalam Panduan bagi Penulis.
  • Naskah ini belum perah diterbitkan, tidak pula sedang dalam pertimbangan jurnal lain.
  • Remua referensi telah diperiksa akurasi dan kelengkapannya.
  • Semua tabel dan gambat sudah diberi nomor dan judul.

Ijin telah diperoleh untuk menerbitkan semua foto, dataset dan bahan lain yang tersedia dalam naskah ini.

Para penulis diundang untuk mengirimkan naskahnya ke jurnal ini. Semua naskah akan dinilai oleh seorang editor untuk menentukan apakah sudah sesuai dengan tujuan dan cakupan jurnal ini. Naskah yang sesuai akan dikirimkan untuk ditinjau oleh mitra bestari sebelum menentukan apakah naskah tersebut akan diterima atau ditolak.

Sebelum mengirim, penulis bertanggung jawab untuk memperoleh izin untuk menerbitkan semua materi yang disertakan dalam naskah, seperti foto, dokumen, dan kumpulan data. Semua penulis yang tertera dalam naskah harus memberikan persetujuan untuk diakui sebagai penulis. Bila diperlukan, penelitian harus disetujui oleh suatu komite etik yang tepat sesuai dengan persyaratan hukum negara tempat penelitian.

Editor dapat menolak sebuah naskah jika tidak memenuhi standar minimum kualitas. Sebelum mengirim, pastikan bahwa desain penelitian dan argumen penelitian terstruktur dan dirumuskan dengan baik. Judul harus singkat dan abstrak harus bisa berdiri sendiri. Hal ini akan meningkatkan kemungkinan reviewer bersedia mereview naskah tersebut. Setelah sudah yakin telah memenuhi ketentuan ini, silakan tandai daftar periksa di bawah ini untuk menyiapkan naskah Anda.

Author Guidelines – Journal of Social and Historical Knowledge

1. Types of Manuscripts

The Journal of Social Knowledge and History received the following manuscripts:

  • Original research
  • Literature studies or theoretical studies
  • Historical or historiographic studies

2. Originality

  • The manuscript has never been published or is not in the process of being published in another journal.
  • Any form of plagiarism (including self-plagiarism) is not allowed.
  • The author is required to include a statement of originality.

3. Language of Writing

  • Good and correct Indonesian according to EYD/PUEBI; or
  • Clear and structured academic English.

4. Writing Format

  • Manuscript Length: 5,000 – 8,000 words (including references, tables, and appendices)
  • Margin: 3 cm (top, left, bottom, right)
  • Space: 1.15 spaces
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt
  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)

5. Structure of Scientific Articles

For the research manuscript:

  1. Title (max. 16 words)
    • Must be clear, concise, reflect the content, and informative of the research results
  2. Author Name & Affiliation
    • Include the email and institution of each author.
  3. Abstract (150–250 words)
    • Written in Indonesian and English.
    • Contains objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
  4. Keywords (3–5 keywords)
    • Relevant to the main topic of the article.
  5. Introduction
    • Background, problem formulation, and research objectives.
    • The background reflects the literature review, academic debates, gap analysis, and novelty
  6. Research Methodology
    • The type of research, location, subject, data collection and analysis techniques are described in detail or in detail.
  7. Results and Discussion
    • The results obtained are accompanied by analysis and interpretation.
  8. Conclusions and Suggestions
    • Summary of key findings and practical/theoretical implications.
  9. Bibliography
  • Using citation styles (e.g. APA 7th Edition)

6. Citation and Reference Style

  • It is recommended to use APA Style (7th edition)
  • References at least 15 sources, mostly from the most recent scientific journals (last 5–10 years).
  • Using reference management apps (Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote) is highly recommended.

7. Use of Figures and Tables

  • Images and tables should be clearly numbered and titled.
  • The source of the image/table must be listed if it is not homemade.

8. Review Process

  • All manuscripts will go through a double-blind peer review process by a minimum of two reviewers.
  • The editor reserves the right to make minor edits without changing the substance of the manuscript's content.

9. Publication Ethics

  • The author is obliged to comply with the applicable scientific publication ethics, such as:
    • Not to fabricate, falsify, and plagiarism.
    • Include acknowledgment of the contributions of others.
    • Declare a conflict of interest (if any).
