Every cultural tradition existing in the life of the Batak Toba community carries a historical background and profound meaning that underlies its existence. Such is the case with the Mangongkal Holi tradition, which remains alive and practiced to this day by the Batak Toba people, particularly those residing in Pandumaan-Sipituhuta District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. This tradition is not merely a series of customary activities, but also preserves historical, philosophical, and cultural values that have evolved alongside the development of community life.
