JPSS Description

Jurnal Pengetahuan Sosial dan Sejarah (JPSS) is a journal of sociology and history, published by the Institute for the Study of Religion and Society of Aceh (LSAMA). This journal uses the Open Journal Systems (OJS) 3.5.0-1 system released on July 9, 2025 by PKP. Jurnal Pengetahuan Sosial dan Sejarah (JPSS) is open access and papers submitted will go through a double-blind, peer review process. Jurnal Pengetahuan Sosial dan Sejarah (JPSS) aims to communicate original research, current issues, literature studies, and history related to the subject. The journal warmly welcomes contributions from academics and researchers from the disciplines of sociology and history. Jurnal Pengetahuan Sosial dan Sejarah (JPSS) was published in April, August, and December.

History of LSAMA

LSAMA as a Journal of Social and Historical Knowledge (JPS) has existed since 2010. This institution was founded by Prof. Dr. M. Hasbi Amiruddin, MA, et al., where one of the goals is to develop science through research and publishing activities. For this reason, since 2013, LSAMA has had a book publisher and has published various scientific books (ISBN) that are well stored in the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia. In addition, in the same year, LSAMA also published a print version of the KALAM Journal, which then also provided an OJS-based online version. In its 15th year, LSAMA also publishes one more journal, namely the Journal of Social and Historical Knowledge (JPS).
